Lucky Bastard Gets Bargain Price on Six Grecian IsIands

Look at him! Smiling and clapping his hands over his new archipelago…you don’t hate him for it though. Who can get mad at a happy fat guy?
At least I think the skx islands are an archipelago. Maybe they were such a deal because they are in the opposing corners of the Adriatic.
No seriously…that’s a FUCKING BARGAIN! ( Blog Hostess swears for emphasis.) Perspective: there was a private island for sale in French Polynesia & at $9 million dollars that was considered a steal. I could draw parallels to real estate prices on Manhattan but I get so angry when I think about it!
Ah, releif! I just looked at the happy fat guy again. I wonder if he’s a nice guy. I wonder if he needs a Blog Hostess to round out the guest list for 6 islands…

The Royal Correspondent

EmirofQatarAccording to the Telegraph and Guardian newspapers, Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani of Qatar recently purchased six uninhabited islands in Greece for a reported 8.5 million Euros.  Now, that is a bargain.  No, really.

Anywho, according to the newspaper, The Mirror, the 61-year-old Emir of Qatar was vacationing in Greece when he decided to moor his tiny 400ft yacht off the Echinades Islands.  Within minutes the Emir fell in love with the place.  So, four years later he decided to purchase them.

Wow.

For more information about the Emir’s small purchase of these gorgeous islands please herehere, and here.
